RnB sensation Ciara has made it her niche to sport locks that are always well-groomed, and above all, wearable; making it easier for the rest of us to nab her A-list look.
From a demure tie-back to a racy lace-front, Ciara doesn't let trends compromise her girl next door appeal. 'Her hairstyles may be simple,' says senior stylist Alyson Richardson at Earth Hairdressing, 'but they are extremely effective and glamorous proving that less is more.'
Wigs and lacefronts are a great option for one-off styles that only serve for an evening. 'Start by wrap setting the hair so it's close to the head. To create foxy Forties style waves, use the Babyliss Triple Barrel Waver (£32),' says Alyson.

Brow-skimming fringes work best when they are full of body. 'For a touch of volume, use a dryer on a cool setting and a small-sized, heatretaining round bristle brush to curl the ends under, then blast cool air over the fringe to set the shape,' advises Natasha John- Lewis from Atherton Cox.

Update your do with a deep-set side parting that can take you from daytime chic to night time glam. 'Using the tail of a fine-tooth comb, make a clean straight parting from the hairline,' says Adebunmi Sanusi from Avos Hair. 'Once the hair is gathered away, use serum to smooth down fly aways and promote shine.'

To create bodywave curls that are red carpet worthy, 5ive from Hype Coiffure suggests investing in the right kit. 'Set even sections of your hair on heated rollers for 30 minutes or if you have time use ceramics, leaving the roots straight. Otherwise cheat your way to instant curls with half wigs or clip-in extensions that are pre-curled.'
