Hirut Wodajo lives in Tooting, South London. She is the mother of a young child, who keeps her so busy that she doesn’t have time to visit a hair salon. She was looking forward to being pampered for a day.
John Ojukwu, European Cosmetologist for Global Choice, and owner of Trimmindales Hair Salon in North London, first used Global Choice Pre-Chem Conditioner over Hirut's previously relaxed hair to prevent the risk of over-processing. He then applied Global Choice Conditioning Mild Relaxer to straighten the hair. This product conditions each strand of hair as it straightens. After rinsing the relaxer from the hair and towel blotting, John applied Global Choice Maxi Moist Intensive Conditioning Treatment, while the cuticle layer of the hair was still open. This was left on for five minutes, then the hair was neutralised with Global Choice Conditioning Neutralising Shampoo. This has a colour indicator to let the hairdresser know when all the relaxer has been removed from the hair.
Global Choice Advanced Wrapping Lotion was applied to Hirut's hair and combed through before cutting it into a classic bob. Hirut's hair was then wrapped and dried under a hooded drier.
After drying, John applied Global Choice Stimu Gro Hair and Scalp Conditioner to the hair. This light hair grease gives an instant shine without weighing hair down. A small amount of Global Choice Define It Shine It Dry Finishing Lotion was also applied. John then curled the hair using Global Choice Hold It Mould It Spritz to give curl definition.
Hirut was then made-up by John and couldn't believe the results. She gasped, ‘Wow, is that really me? It’s been a long, tiring day, but it’s been worth every second.’
