Good Afro Salon Awards 2016

Last night, the fourth annual No Scrunchie Awards was held at The Montcalm Hotel. The unique awards celebrate the very best in British-afro haircare and styling. The founder, Leyla gave an honest speech about how the No Scrunchie website (which has over 2k reviews for 700 UK afro salons), was originally born from the idea to highlight and lambast bad salon services, but overtime, has now become a celebration of the afro hairdressing industry.

Highlights on the night were inspirational speeches by the founder of Nubian Skin, Ade Hassan and Nisha Taylor from Raise UR Standards. Black Beauty & Hair editor, Irene Shelley presented the Best Wig Making award. And of course the exceptional winners…
