Mazuri Shea Butter Naturals

Our intern Sarah Fynn tries out Mazuri’s Shea Butter Naturals and Paks Argan Oil Hair Treatment

Mazuri Shea Butter Naturals has been specially formulated with all natural ingredients for all hair types, providing it with the nutrients and strength needed for it to grow strong and healthy. For today’s wash day, I was testing out the Mazuri Shea Butter Naturals Co-Wash, the Mazuri Shea Butter Naturals Leave-In Oil Moisturiser and the Paks Argan Oil Hair Treatment.  I will also be testing out the Mazuri Olive Oil Edge Wax.

I am not the biggest fan of co-washing my hair as it usually makes my scalp itchy. I really like this co-wash though. It’s the first co-wash I have used which has given me a gentle lather. It has slip like no other and it left my hair and scalp feeling clean. It’s also the first co-wash I have used which didn’t make my scalp itchy days after.

The Argan Oil Treatment smells great and made my hair feel silky when I applied it. I used it both on wet hair before my leave in conditioner and on dry hair after the Leave In Oil Moisturiser. The moisturiser softened and moisturised my hair without making it ‘puff’ up. It also has a pleasant smell.

I was a bit skeptical about the Edge Wax, it says its suitable for all hair types and is flake-free but let’s face it, its hard to lay  natural hair edges down and I find most edge waxes look perfect for the first hour then start to melt or leave me with an oily forehead! I was wrong about this. It laid my edges really nicely and it stayed that way all day! I didn’t have any oily residue and it didn’t melt. My only issue is that it said it was flake-free however I did see flakes and this was on my freshly co-washed hair from the day before!

Verdict – I really like this range; especially the co-wash and I think I found my staple edge wax! You can pick up these products from Paks Cosmetics
