After great success with their All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation, NARS decided to launch what they call their best foundation yet, the Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation (£35). I love NARS for their diversity in their products and this foundation is available in 33 different shades ranging from the lightest to the deepest. According to NARS, it is very long lasting, promising up to 16 hours of wear. It is also very lightweight, radiant and fade-resistant with a buildable coverage from medium to full. The foundation is also packed with natural ingredients such as raspberry, watermelon and apple extracts to improve the skin texture over time.
I decided to put these claims to a test. First things first, this foundation feels incredibly lightweight, almost feels as if you have nothing on your face. My skin is generally very clear therefore I did not need to use a lot for a full coverage and even complexion. It is however buildable if you need hide blemishes or discoloration. The shade I currently use is New Caledonia, which is great if you have yellow undertones. The finish is very beautiful and lives up to the name of the foundation, giving you a radiant dewy like finish. To test the 16 hour claim I applied the foundation in the morning to see the staying power through the day. I recall needing to touch up on one occasion, however it lasted up to 14 hours which was pretty impressive.
