Tried & Tested – Palmers Manuka Flower Honey Range

Black Beauty & Hair intern and naturalista Sarah Fynn tries out Palmers Manuka Flower Honey products

As a self-confessed product junkie, I was very excited when I was given the new Manuka Flower Honey products from Palmer’s to try out! I was given everything in the range expect for the shampoo, I got the:
• Nourishing Conditioner
• Leave-in Conditioning Cream
• Leave-in Conditioner Spray
• Finishing Hair Oil

The products are infused with Manuka flower honey, shea and cocoa butter and Alma oils. It claims to moisturise your hair whilst the natural anti-bacterial ingredients help promote healthy promoted hair and scalp.
I used the conditioner to finger detangle and deep condition my hair. The consistency is thick which made it a bit difficult to get out of the bottle, however it has the right amount of ‘slip’ which made finger detangling a tad bit easier! I left it on for about 20 minutes mins, covered it with a few plastic bags and rinsed out.

I then used the LCO method to moisturise and seal my hair, using the Leave-in Conditioner Spray as the liquid leave in, the Conditioning Leave-in Cream as the cream and of course the Finishing Hair Oil as the oil part of this regime. I noticed small white flakes in my hair each time I used the cream on top of the spray. However these then would disappear as I was styling my hair.

Freshly washed

Start with the spray

Cream and oil

Flat twist and stretch

Verdict: I love the conditioner! It left my hair feeling soft and well moisturised. Both leave in conditioners work well too but I don’t think I would pair them together next time. I prefer the spray to the cream as that left my hair softer. I didn’t notice much of a difference in terms of shine with the finishing oil. I am not a big fan of the smell, although it’s quite pleasant!
In short, the conditioner and the leave-in spray were the best one for me out of the bunch. I am looking forward to using the products separately to see if I get different results.
