With the world finally regaining some normality, and industry awards and events being added to our social calendars again, leading hairstylist Anthony Grant scored big at The Big One Trophy event presented by Tribu-te magazine. The event, which is in its fourth year, honours the best hairdressers, colourists and salons in the industry.
Anthony picked up first place for The One for Afro category for work on Afro/Black Hair with his stunning hair collection called Leveltation. Speaking exclusively to Black Beauty & Hair, Anthony explained the inspiration behind the looks: ‘I’ve been working a lot more with colour and wanted to create a collection where there was a lot of movement in the hair. I was also very inspired by the late 80s and 90s. Music plays a big part of my inspiration when it comes to creating a collection. Winning an award means a lot, because it takes a lot of hard work to put something like this together.’
With the upcoming British Hairdressing Awards, in which Anthony is also a finalist in the Afro category, we wish this talented hairstylist the best of luck in maybe obtaining a double win!
