Queen Bey made headlines the world over for making history for becoming the most decorated artist in Grammy history. She also scored high in the style stakes for wearing her trademark honey blonde extensions in a sultry wet wave look. Nicole Petty, Hair Expert at Milk + Blush shares how you can achieve this glamorous look. She says, “To replicate this colour, consult a professional stylist who can help you decide which tones are most suitable for your hair. If you have cool-toned hair, ash blonde, champagne, and sandy hues will be ideal, whilst warm-toned manes like Beyoncé’s should opt for golden, honey, and caramel tones. To recreate her ‘water waves,’ apply a heat protectant to dry hair and then use a flat iron.”

Jodie Turner Smith

The Brits remain the biggest music industry event in the UK and it didn’t disappoint this year, with incredible performances from the likes of Lizzo and Stormzy. Actress Jodie-Turner Smith stole the show with this beautiful 70s-esq ‘fro. Commenting on this look, Dan Mewies, co-owner of Mewies & Co. says, “I love this look – it’s really striking, and you can be so versatile with a wig with texture. I love this style, which has been iconic from its first exposure in the 1960s. The texture, shape, and style fits so well with her outfit and she looks like a true goddess.”

Zendaya

Multi-talented actress Zendaya caused heads to turn when she debuted a stunning 50s-style bob at the SAGs and NAACP awards recently. Dubbed ‘The Modern Marilyn’ by Jason Collier, celeb stylist and Jerome Russell Brand Educator, he also added: “We’re all about iconic hair looks making a comeback this year, but with modern updates. Zendaya’s hair is so reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe’s signature tight tousled curls, but with some modern edge of extra length, a diagonal hair part, and looser waves. A mid-length bob is always in style, suits all face shapes, and is very low maintenance. Pairing this cut with curls gives it volume and movement, whilst a diagonal side part like Zendaya’s emphasises the layers and cut.”
