Balms are healing, hydrating and luxuriously thick. A mix of oils, waxes, and sometimes butters, balms generally contain no water and have been used for centuries to heal, soothe, moisturise and smooth skin.
Come winter my skin is crying out for moisture. The mix of moisture-wicking clothing, central heating and cold temps plays havoc with our skins’ hydration. Balms by their nature are thick and oily and may be too much for all-over application.
