When Solange Knowles tied the knot last summer she flipped the script on traditional bridal hair by choosing to wear her afro in all its glory. Winner of Black Beauty/Sensationnel Bridal Stylist of the Year 2014, Hector Obeng says, ‘Solange’s afro suits her personality so it made perfect sense for her to wear it. You can tell there was time spent on it as it’s groomed and full of body.’
